Anne RickettsMarch 2006Anne’s class instruction included her “Chintzware” beads, plaids and “wild ones”. Various stringers and canes were taught and included in her beads. The “Chintzware” beads were inspired from her own porcelain china with the help of a lentil press. Her plaids or as she call them “Homespun plaids” were made with coordinating colors using stringers. A great way to practice your “straight” stringer control. The “wild ones” included use of “bright colors” and your imagination. Last, but not least were her “dolls”! The use of flesh tone glass, mixing of twisties for the application of hair, sculpting of arms, legs and body along with the detailed applications such as eyes, cheeks, flower baskets and of course clothes! Anne's fun and colorful beads can be seen at her website, AMR Glassworks. |
